Some would say that it is as easy to care less that to care more. Where do you fall on the Caring Curriculum?
What about our neighbors that may be hospitalized, in danger of losing their homes, or are already homeless?
When do we take the time to visit or help the elderly or senior citizens?
Christ was a master story teller and in Matthew 25 he spoke about the number of times that people had cared for God, the creator of the universe, as a stranger by taking him in, naked and clothing him, or saw him sick or in prison and visited him.
When these same people questioned God as to when they had done all these things, he responded in these words: ” In as much as you have done it to the least of my people, you have done it unto me. ”
Maybe that’s why when we greet a neighbor, a worker in the grocery store, a coworker, our kids, spouse, or someone less fortunate we are actually having a chat with God! Maybe that’s where the expression your actions are speaking so loudly, I can’t hear what you are saying comes from?
So maybe it would be appropriate to ask, how are you treating God, the creator of the universe, today?
